Jamshedpur: RVS College of Engineering and Technology marked the beginning of its new academic session (2025–29) with a grand induction ceremony on Monday. The event was inaugurated by Chief Guest Arun Kumar Mishra, CEO of Adhunik Power, who lit the ceremonial lamp.
Welcoming the new students, Mishra stressed that success in today’s “New India” requires more than academic excellence. “Along with studies, acquiring new technologies, skills, language proficiency, and practical knowledge is equally important,” he said.

Chairman Binda Singh and Secretary Bharat Singh of RVS Educational Trust honoured the chief guest with a shawl and memento. Addressing the students, Secretary Bharat Singh assured them of full support from the institution. “All facilities have been arranged for you. In case of any inconvenience, approach the Principal, Dean, or your Head of Department. Focus on studies and make your parents and college proud,” he urged.
Treasurer Shatrughan Singh highlighted the importance of discipline, warning that misbehaviour towards seniors or faculty would be dealt with strictly. Principal Dr. Rajesh Kumar Tiwari expressed gratitude to students and parents, assuring them of quality education and placement opportunities. He also appealed to parents not to send children on private vehicles due to poor road conditions.
The ceremony, which began with a welcome address by Dr. Surya Bahadur, concluded with a vote of thanks by Dr. Sudhir Jha.
