Jamshedpur, July 15: RVS College of Engineering and Technology is set to host a two-day national seminar on July 17–18, 2025, under the AICTE’s VAANI Scheme. Themed “Energy Sustainability and Climate Change: Innovations and Solutions for a Resilient Future,” the seminar stands out for being conducted in Santhali—a prominent tribal language of Jharkhand—aligning with the National Education Policy 2020’s emphasis on local languages in higher education.
The event will be held under the patronage of Jharkhand Technical University Vice-Chancellor Prof. Dr. D.K. Singh and RVS Educational Trust Chairman Binda Singh. Trust Secretary Bharat Singh, Treasurer Shatrughna Singh, and Governing Body Member Shakti Singh will also serve as patrons.
Jharkhand’s Minister for School Education and Literacy, Ramdas Soren, will be the chief guest at the inaugural session. Distinguished academicians including Prof. Dr. Pankaj Rai (Director, BIT Sindri) and Prof. Dr. G. Sahu (IIT Dhanbad) will serve as chairs for the seminar.
According to Dr. Vikram Sharma, Head of Training and Placement, the use of Santhali not only enhances inclusivity but deepens community engagement. The seminar will feature eight expert-led sessions across two days, offering valuable insights for students, faculty, and researchers. A dedicated organizing committee is ensuring smooth execution.
