Jamshedpur: RVS Academy celebrated the “Festival of Lights” with immense joy and enthusiasm on Friday. The event aimed to deepen students’ understanding of Indian traditions and the triumph of good over evil.
The occasion was graced by Chairman Binda Singh, Principal Veesha Mohindra and Vice-Principal Puja Suman. The celebration began with an assembly featuring a poem, an energetic dance and a motivational speech.
Students from Nursery to Std. VIII participated in various festive activities including clay lamp, card and toran-making competitions, encouraging teamwork and creativity. A highlight was the Fancy Dress event by UKG students, who portrayed characters from the Ramayana.
The program also featured musical performances, traditional dances, a theatrical skit and a mythological dance drama depicting Goddess Kali’s triumph over the demon Raktabeej.
Addressing the gathering, Binda Singh emphasized truth, honesty and service to society, while Principal Veesha Mohindra lauded the efforts of teachers and students. She said such celebrations fostered respect, unity and appreciation for culture.
The event concluded on a joyful note, spreading light, love, and cultural pride across the campus.
