Jamshedpur: RVS Academy marked International Olympic Day with great enthusiasm by organizing a special assembly aimed at celebrating the Olympic spirit. The event focused on promoting the core values of the Olympic movement — excellence, friendship and respect — among students.
The event was graced by Chairman Binda Singh, Principal Visha Mohindra, Vice Principal Pooja Suman, along with teachers and students. A range of engaging activities were held, including speeches on the history and significance of the Olympic Games, a quiz by students and discussions highlighting the importance of sportsmanship. An essay competition on the topic “Significance of International Olympic Day” was also organized for Class 8 students.
In his address, Chairman Binda Singh emphasized the role of sports in character building, teamwork and inner strength. He stated that Olympic values hold equal relevance in everyday life.
Principal Visha Mohindra congratulated all participants and encouraged students to actively take part in sports and physical activities, which she said foster discipline and a meaningful life.
The event concluded with students and teachers pledging to uphold Olympic values with honesty, respect and true sportsmanship, reinforcing the academy’s commitment to shaping responsible and value-driven youth.
