Chaibasa, May 8: M/S Rungta Football Academy felicitated five football players of the academy for being selected for Indian Sports Pradhikaran, Ranchi. Earlier three players were selected and now two more were selected by Indian Sports Pradhikaran.
The five players include Priya Sandil, Nandini Laguri, Priya Kujur, Kashish Kahtun and Suman Purty. Rungta Mines director Mahesh Dutta Rustogy said that Rungta Mines Academy was established in the year 2013 in remote area of Saranda in Nuiyan Village.
The players were given professional training by coach Md Iqubal Khan and they took part in state-level tournaments and performed well. They won Deepak Memorial Knockout Tournament and Bolany Tournament.
The team won the 18th All-India Birla Gold Independence Cup held at Mehar in Madhya pradesh and brought the Trophy to Gua. The five players of Rungta Academy represented Jharkhand in Bhubaneswar in the National Championship and in the Dehardun All-India DFA Girls� Challenge Trophy 2015, where they were the second runners-up.
The academy player also participated in the 37th National Mahila Football Championship held in Rajsthan. The village mukhiya Ramnath Samad praised the Rungta Academy�s endeavor in the promoting football in the remote part of Gua.
Rungta Mines manger Subhas Pradhan, senior CSR manger Falvinder Singh, Sanjay Kumar Kanoujia, Lucky Kumar Ghoghra and the players were present on the occasion.
