Jamshedpur: East Singhbhum Deputy Commissioner Amit Kumar Saturday convened a meeting to review preparations for the Run For Safety going to be held on 9th February. He asked district officials concerned to ensure participation in the event and make it a grand success by involving the citizens.
The DC said Chief Minister Raghubar Das will flag off the Run For Safety event at Baridih Chowk. The participants will run up to Tinplate Chowk. The event will begin at 8 am. It is a part of the Road Safety Awareness Week celebrations scheduled to take place from 4th Febraury to 10th February, he said.
The purpose of the Run For Safety is to create greater public awareness on road safety. The representatives of various social, corporate and academic organizations are expected to participate in the event.
