Ruckus over dress code at Jamshedpur Women�s College

Jamshedpur: Ruckus was witnessed at the entrance gate of Jamshedpur Women�s College (JWC) on Friday after several students were disallowed entry for not wearing uniform.

Sources said a group of students raised slogans against the college administration after they were stopped by the security personnel at the gate.

The students opposed this and alleged that they were being harassed at the best of college administration. They argued that they should be allowed entry on the basis of their identity cards.

Several hours were spent during the stand-off between students and college staff. Later, the Principal allowed entry of the students who carried their identity cards. She said the college administration stressed on wearing uniform to stop entry of outsiders into the college premises.
