Jamshedpur, Jan 28: Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh organized Surya Namaskar Mahayagya at Cable Welfare Maidan, Golmuri on Saturday. The programme was organized to mark Rath Saptami. More than 2500 Swayamsevak families participated in the event and paid obeisance to the Sun God. The participants included children, senior citizens, women, youths and members of various political and social organizations. They showed great enthusiasm while performing Surya Namaskar and other yoga postures. The programme was jointly inaugurated by Nagar Sangh Chalak of RSS Shiv Shankar Singh, Ravindra Narayan, Rajeev Kumar and other dignitaries.
Addressing the gathering, Shiv Shankar Singh said Surya Namaskar was highly beneficial for overall health of an individual and everyone should perform it.
