RSS and RSB Foundation join hands to reach out to the needy

Jamshedpur, May 2: Amidst on going lockdown in the city, RSS and RSB Foundation have joined hands to feed the poor and also distribute essential commodities. From past 35 days both the organisations are reaching in the fringe areas and serving healthy food to them. The organisations under the leadership of Amitabh Senapati, senate, Kolhan University and CSR head of RSB Sachikanta Tripathi have been working to serve food and other essential commodities. The initiative aims to help the needy contractual workers, locals and families during the coronavirus lockdown.

In order to maintain social distancing, people were standing in white circles drawn at a certain distance while waiting for their turn to get the food prepared by RSS and RSB Foundation. Those serving food to the needy had also covered their faces and hands using masks and gloves as a precautionary measure.

We are maintaining the norms of social distancing while we are serving the food . Our priority is to ensure that food served is hygienic.  We have identified several areas in the city where the food is being distributed. We have also trained our volunteers about hygiene and social distancing, said Senapati.
