Rs. 94,900 recovered at Kesharpur check post

Jamshedpur, Oct 19: Police conducting a routine vehicle inspection at Kesharpur check post recovered Rs 94,900 from a pickup van late Friday night. The vehicle, registered under JH 12 E 5922, belonged to a resident of Koderma. Another vehicle was stopped during the same inspection, and Rs 1 lakh was recovered, but the driver was released after providing legitimate documents for the amount.

The police have intensified vehicle checks along the Galudih-Narsinghpur route, especially for those coming from Bengal. On Thursday, Rs 2.36 lakh was recovered from a pickup van belonging to a West Bengal resident, and another Rs 2.39 lakh was found in a vehicle from Baharagora.
