Rs 9 lakhs duped through Olx

Jamshedpur: A resident was duped of Rs 9 lakhs in the name of selling Scorpio in Olx. A sonari resident of Aseem Kumar, who described himself as an army officer of Ranchi was involved in the act. A resident businessman of Sonari has lodged an FIR against Aseem in the cyber police station alleging cheating of Rs 9 lakh. According to the FIR, an advertisement was given at the olx in the month of June. Seeing this, the son of resident Sonari called the phone number given below. The phone receiver described himself as an army officer and said that the car would be sold for Rs 3.50 lakh. On the deal, the son of resident Sonari sent Rs 3.50 lakh to the account of the thugs. But after a while the son of resident Sonari called Aseem to get his money back, he said that there is a refund charge to return the money.

Saying this, sometimes for a month, he kept taking small amounts of money in the name of refund charges and in one month about nine lakh rupees were sent by Sonari resident youth to Aseem’s account. After this he felt himself cheated.
