Rs 65000 robbed from Bandhan Bank agent in Seraikela

Seraikela:  In a broad day light incident Rs 65,000 was robbed from Bandhan Bank agent in Rajnagar police station area under Seraikela district of Kolhan division. The culprits managed to escape after the incident. The incident took place at 1.30pm on Friday.

According to the information received, Vishwajit Mahato, a resident of Puranapani village of Chakulia block of East Singhbhum, came to Hensal village of Rajnagar police station area. He works as an agent in Bandhan Bank and was returning to Jamshedpur after recovering loan money from the women group of Hensal and Pata Hensal village.

The criminal who had ambushed earlier near Chhotanagpur College on Hata-Chaibasa main road, caught Vishwajeet’s motorcycle in pursuit and uncontrollably thrashed him. The culprits immediately took Vishwajeet’s pistol and snatched the bag full of money from him and escaped towards Hata. After this, the victim Vishwajit has filed a case of robbery against unknown criminals at Rajnagar police station. He said that the number of the culprits was four. They were riding two motorcycles. Here the police have started investigating the case. DSP Headquarters Chandan Vats also reached Rajnagar police station on Saturday. The DSP along with the station in-charge Shambhu Sharan Das are also looking for the accused. The police have claimed that the accused will soon be caught by the police.
