Rs 27k collected in fine from three Seraikela shops selling gutkha

Seraikela, Sep 24: Seraikela sub divisional officer (SDO) Ram Krishna Kumar conducted raids at various shops in Seraikela market to curb the alleged sale of banned products like gutkha and pan masala. Three shops were raided and found to be selling gutkha. A sum of Rs 27,000 was collected in fine from the owners of the shops. During investigation, it was found that the gutkha was being supplied by traders from Jamshedpur. Officials said the proprietor of Nandu Store at Seraikela was supplying gutkha in the district. During raid, Nandu Store was found closed.

The raid team included Food Safety Officer Aditi Singh, Food Inspector Ghanpat Mahato and Tarun Kumar Mahato.
