Rs 16k collected from mask rule violators in Chaibasa

Chaibasa, Jan 13: With continues rise in Covid-19 infections, West Singhbhum district administration is on its toes and is trying its best to prevent further spread of virus. With the onset of the third wave in India and other parts of the country, the administration has appealed the citizens to follow Covid protocols. As per the instructions of deputy commissioner Ananya Mittal, intensive vehicle checking drive was launched by senior officials of the district. Fine was collected by people roaming without masks. They urged the citizens to wear mask, frequently sanitize hands with alcohol-based sanitizer or wash hands with soap and follow social distancing norms to ensure third wave doesn’t cause much destruction. Fine of Rs 16,150 was collected from 83 people without masks.
