Jamshedpur: Unidentified criminals looted Rs 1.6 lakh from the staff of Srinath Home at gunpoint in broad daylight near Pan Dukan Chowk under Adityapur police station area on Saturday.
An FIR was lodged in this connection by the victims, Raju Dutta and Devrat Das. They said the incident occurred when they were on their way to office at Ashiana, Adityapur, around noon after withdrawing cash from Bank of India. Two motorcycle-borne youths snatched the bag containing cash from the two and escaped.
The victims failed to chase the looters. They later intimated Bistupur police station officials about the incident.
Police officials said they were investigating into the incident and trying to nab the culprits.
