Jamshedpur: The three-day RYLA ‘Pankh’ Youth Leadership Program, organized by the Rotary Club of Jamshedpur West, concluded on Sunday at Kerala Public School, Kadma. The program aimed to empower youth by nurturing their leadership potential and talents. Among the sessions held, Col Arora led the first, titled ‘Widening Horizons,’ where students were introduced to the Horizon Europe program, a European initiative that promotes research and innovation in less-developed EU regions. In the following session, ‘Leading from Inside Out,’ Pragya Singh emphasized the power of self-leadership, stating, “Self-leadership inspires a mindset of possibility and resilience, enabling individuals to embrace challenges and achieve meaningful goals.”
Another notable session was ‘Options are Abundant,’ led by former Indian cricketer Saurabh Tiwari, who encouraged the students to keep persevering, saying, “Continuous effort is the key to success; never stop trying, as giving up distances us from our goals.” The program concluded with a speech by Sharat Chandran, who expressed, “It’s a privilege to lead the youth. Being young is a matter of pride and I wish our country’s youth achieve the highest success.”
In the cultural competition held on the second day, Team Brahmaputra emerged as the winner, followed by Team Indus and Team Kaveri. The students from the Mass Communication Department of Karim City College, who had come to cover the event, were honoured with mementos and certificates for their efforts. The Rotary Club, with active participation from members such as President Rtn Amit Mukherjee and Secretary Deepti Singh, expressed its gratitude, stating, “RYLA ‘Pankh’ 2025 reflects our commitment to shaping the leaders of tomorrow.”
