Rotary Jamshedpur West�donates garbage rickshaws to JNAC �

Jamshedpur, July 1: Continuing their�social initiatives, Rotary Club of Jamshedpur West�on Friday donated two cycle rickshaws (Garbage pickup bins) to Jamshedpur Notified Area Committee (JNAC) for picking up garbage from the basti areas to keep the city clean and green.

The club organized a series of events as part of the Swachh Bharat Abhiyan on Friday. The day started with cleanliness drive at Sonari Khutadih Area where the area was cleaned by the club members. Here Rotary West runs their vocational training centre, sanitary napkin making, toddler school, computer class, weekly clinic, old clothes bank, toy bank and various other programs.�

This was followed by tree plantation at Bal Kalyan Vidya Mandir at 11 Pardi Road, Kaiser Bunglow, Kadma. This school is for underprivileged children. The club members planted two gulmohars, 15 medicinal and five flowering plants at the school. It will help in developing a small garden in the school.

To sustain the �Swacch Bharat Abhiyan,� Rotary district governor Dr R. Bharat has given a call to start the Rotary year with the Swachh Bharat Project. District governor also donated two cycle rickshaw garbage pickup bins to the special officer of Jamshedpur Notified Area Committee, Sakchi.

Alakannada Bakshi, president of Rotary Club of Jamshedpur West, Shweta Chand, secretary, district secretary Pratim Banerjee, Rajender Sachdev, Amitava Bakshi, Rakesh Chand, B. K. Wadera, Priti Agarwal, Nibha Mishra, Varsha Gandhi and others were present on the occasion.
