Jamshedpur, Nov. 15:  Rotary Club of Jamshedpur West had organized a ‘Know your Numbers’ camp and ‘Ek Chammach Kam, Chaar Kadam Aagey’ awareness program. These camps were held in Dhanchatani village near Telco Area.

48 people between the age group of 25 years to 86 years attended the camp. The camp involved measurement of height, weight, blood sugar and blood pressure of the villagers and spreading awareness about the non-communicable diseases such as diabetes and blood sugar. Ek Chammach Kam aur Chaar Kadam Aagey aimed at spreading awareness on how small changes in lifestyle and eating habits can drastically reduce chances of having high blood pressure and diabetes which can result in serious medical repercussions later on in life.

Sanitary pads and face masks were also distributed to all attendees. Dr KM Gandhi, project leader for the camp, marked this as a start of atleast 5-6 more health camps being planned in the next few months at different areas in and around Jamshedpur. Along with Dr Gandhi and fellow Rotarians, Club President Anjani Nidhi and Club Secretary Alpana Shukla were also present at the camp
