Rotary Jamshedpur Steel City honours 54 teachers with Nation Builder Award

Jamshedpur, Sep 4: Rotary Club of Jamshedpur Steel City conferred ‘Nation Builder Award 2022’ to 54 government school teachers on the occasion of Teacher’s Day after picking the most deserving and inspiring teachers from 28 government schools.

The Chief Guest for the evening was BJP spokesperson and Honorary Member of Rotary Club of Jamshedpur Steel City Kunal Sarangi.

Teachers were felicitated for their enormous contribution towards the enhancement of quality of education by Kunal Sarangi in presence of Club President Nikita Mehta, Secretary Umang Jhunjhunwala, Joint Secretary Garvita Taunk, Simran Saggu, Smita Parikh and Hetal Adesara.

Rotary Steel City also felicitated their 9 moderators of 4 Interact Club and 1 moderator of Rotaract Club for their continuous support and involvement in extra- curricular activities for the students.

5 Rotarians who run schools were also honoured.

Club President Nikita Mehta said, teachers play very important role in developing the younger generation and thus enables in building a healthy and strong nation and that is why they are rightly called as “Nation Builders”.

One major component of the Teacher Support Programme of Rotary India Literacy Mission (RILM) is recognising outstanding teachers through the “Nation Builder Award”. The award is given at the Club level after a detailed evaluation process which involves the participation of the Principal and the students of each school.
