Jamshedpur: Rotary Club of Jamshedpur launched a new project Meemamsi Centre – Maternity and Child Health Clinic at Dakshin Gaghidih on Tuesday.
The clinic was inaugurated by Rotary spouse Dr. Sangeeta Singhal. At the simple, no frills inaugural, Dr. Sangeeta Singhal addressed a small gathering comprising Rotarians, spouses and
villagers.
She emphasized on good health of mother and child, clean environment is key to a healthy, happy family.
This was followed by the auspicious ceremony of showering the guests with flowers and applying a vermillion �tika�on the forehead.
A camp was held where Dr. Sangeeta and Dr. Priyanka examined the expectant mothers. Medicines were provided by Dr. Sourav Banerjee and Dr. N C Singhal. A total of 20 patients were examined.
Present on the occasion were Gopal Taneja, DN Jena, Kety Bhatena, Mita Santra, CBR Baronia, Satnam Kapula, M L Agarwal, Saroj Taneja, Dr. Sourav Banerjee, Suneet Kumar, Keshmira Kotwal, Vinod Menon and Rotary Club president Varsha Chand.
Suneet Kumar helped in making the event successful and also assisted in the project.
Varsha Chand, President, Rotary Club of Jamshedpur said that the launch of the Meemamsi Clinic was the last project of the club for the year 2017- 18.
