Megha Tulsyan takes charge as club president
Jamshedpur: Megha Tulsyan took over as the President of Rotary Club of Jamshedpur Femina during the 5th installation ceremony held at Centre for Excellence on Sunday evening.
Chief Guest for the occasion Amitava Bakshi, Chief Procurement Officer, Tata Steel, along with senior Rotarians lighted the lamp to mark the beginning of the ceremony.
Outgoing President Geeta Dubey delivered the welcome address. She also informed about the last years’ club activities and various awards won by the club at the district level. Some of the outstanding Rotarians were also awarded by her.
Past District (Rotary) Governor Dr. R Bharat, carried out the oath taking ceremony. The President, Secretary and the Board of Directors were installed by him.
The incoming President Megha Tulsyan, delivered her presidential speech. She urged to think “If not Me, Who? If not Now, When?”. She said that the change in the society needs to be brought by the people and to bring in this positive change they will have to “Decide – Commit – and Succeed”. She wants to make a team within the club to make plans that will be executed in next 5 years, thereby achieving the difference that Rotary Femina wishes to bring. She wants to name this team as ‘Vision 22’. Six new members were also inducted in the club.
Chief Guest Amitava Bakshi in his address praised the good work being done by Rotary Femina. His appreciation to the all women’s team was accompanied with good wishes for the future. Charter President Pasam Adesra delivered the vote of thanks.
The new team of Board of Directors include-President Megha Tulsyan, President Elect Sashi Gadia, Vice President Neha Agarwal, Secretary Meena Bugli, Treasurer Simple Agarwal, Sargent at Arms Shweta Sawa, Manisha Sahay, Joint Secretary Rashmi A Singh, Director Service Projects IPP Geeta Dubey, Director Club Administration Deepa Vig, Director Membership Pasam Adesra, Director Rotary Foundation PP Preetha Dutta and Director Public Relations Rashmi V Singh.
