Rotary District 3250 Launches “Hello Periods” Project in Jamshedpur

Jamshedpur: Rotary District 3250 formally launched its “Hello Periods” project in a special program aimed at promoting menstrual health and awareness among women. The event witnessed the presence of District Governor Rotarian Namrata, Assistant Governor Rotarian Kusum Thakur, social entrepreneur and Menstrupedia co-founder Rotarian Aditi Gupta, PDG Rotarian Sanjeev Thakur, along with presidents, secretaries, members of Rotary clubs, and a large number of Rotaractors.

The program began with the national anthem, followed by Rotarian Nikita Mehta outlining the objectives and vision behind the initiative. Rotarian Aditi Gupta highlighted the importance of menstrual health awareness and the positive impact the “Hello Periods” project can bring to society. Rotaractor Prathama Bose also shared her experience with Menstrupedia.

District Governor Rotarian Namrata officially launched the project and described it as a significant step toward empowering women and spreading awareness on menstrual health.

Alongside the launch, the new executive committee of the Rotaract Club of Jamshedpur Green City was announced. Rotaract Niraj Kumar took charge as President, while Rotaract Suraj Kumar assumed the role of Secretary. Regional Head Rotaract Prashant Kumar handed over the collars to the new leaders, and District Governor Namrata pinned the office bearers. PDG Rotarian Sanjeev Thakur led the oath-taking ceremony.

The event was attended by several Rotary leaders including Rotarian Gyaneshwar (President, Rotary Midtown), Rotarian Animesh (President, Rotary Next Gen), Rotarian Suchismita (President, Rotary Club of Dalma), IPDDR Rotaract Rinku Kumar, and DRRE Rotaract Sadashiv Khatri. Members from Rotaract Club of Kalimati Jamshedpur, Rotaract Steel City, Arka Jain University, Netaji Subhash University, Jamshedpur Sevartha, and Srinath University also participated in large numbers.

The program was anchored by Rotaract Tisha Mishra, while the vote of thanks was delivered by Rotarian Krishna Kumar Kharia, President of Rotary Club of Jamshedpur Steel City.
