Jamshedpur, Dec 1: Rotary Club of Jamshedpur East organized a Tuberculosis (TB) Educational Seminar at city Hotel on Sunday, December 1.
It was an awareness program where causes and prevention about the disease were highlighted. The Seminar was chaired by Dr. Tamal Deb were members of Rotary Club east and moderators of interact schools participated.
Four speakers on the occasion informed about the disease where President of The club Prema Gogna welcomed the guests and members at the seminar. Dr. Amit Mukherjee managed the event while Dr. Anup Gupta extended his vote of thanks.
Speaking on the occasion, Dr. DN Sahay TB Consultant from Ramgarh, Dr. Rajiv Ranjan Pathak representative of World Health organization, Dr. PK Deshmukh Chest Physician and Dr Tamal Deb Senior Consultant Physician said that it is indeed necessary to sensitize the students and youth as they are the agents of change.
For a free and healthy society, we should have a healthy family, healthy youth, healthy community and a healthy nation. Tuberculosis is a chronic bacterial disease caused by Mycobacterium tuberculosis.
Once a person develops active tuberculosis, it can cause serious debilitating condition incapacitating a person to work normally, and ultimately the patient may die, if not treated in time.
