Secretary of Roshni Jamshedpur travelled to the native village of an eye donor to hand over the Roshni memento and the thanks letter to the family of donor during the religious function attended by the entire village at large.
Recently Nanu Gopal Mahato from Pakbirah of Purulia District died in Tata Main Hospital due to cardiac arrest and his son Ujjwal Kumar Mahato was kind enough to agree for Eye Donation of his late father which was promptly
taken care by the Roshni team with the help of doctors from Jamshedpur Eye Hospital.
The initiative of Roshni Jamshedpur has made villagers very excited on the eye donation and the 50 families residing in the small village 35 kilometers from Purulia town has come forward to continue the path shown by late Nanu Gopal Mahato.
