Role of Jharkhand state important in overall development of nation: Governor

 CM launches Sahay and Universal pension schemes on statehood day function 

Ranchi, Nov 15: The state has created new dimensions of developments in the 21 years and people need to be congratulated on statehood day, said Jharkhand Governor Ramesh Bais at a program organised in Project Bhawan, Ranchi.

“The role of a state like Jharkhand is very important in the overall development of the country. Successful implementation of central and state-funded schemes can be possible only when the government officials and the people’s cooperation move forward together. The government is striving for the overall development of the state. The government is working in this direction to ensure that government facilities reach the last person at the national level. Apart from this, the government is also making continuous efforts to increase industrial investment and remove migration and unemployment. Today 680 teachers getting appointment letters is a reflection of this,” said Bais.

Chief Minister Hemant Soren said that the tribal societies are a little behind in terms of development and the . government is trying to empower them.

“As a result of this, now this community is becoming stronger socially, economically and educationally. He said that there is no discrimination of any kind in the tribal society, but there are certain reasons or systems which try to divide it. We need to be alert from these at all times. It has been 21 years since the formation of a separate state of Jharkhand. But the expected development of the state, which was supposed to happen, could not happen,” said Soren.  

Blaming previous governments, Hemant Soren said, “No attempt was made to understand the sentiments of this state rich in minerals and natural resources. If there was a serious initiative in this direction from the beginning, then Jharkhand would certainly have been among the top and developed states of the country. But, now a new dimension is being given to development by making people a stakeholder in the government. All the processes have been completed for providing employment to maximum youth in the state.”

The Chief Minister said that the government is continuously working towards taking the state forward on the path of development.

“Action plan is being prepared according to the sentiments of the people of the state. Many new schemes have been started. We are committed that the welfare schemes of the government reach the last person of the society, in this every section and section of the society will have to play an important role. With this we will definitely be able to change the lot of people in the state,” said Soren.

During the program, the Dhoti-Saree scheme had its beneficiaries linked with the Food Security Act.

Picture books in tribal language and books of prose and grammar of 45 children were released, the author and translator of these books were honoured. The Chief Minister announced to give one lakh rupees as incentive to these writers of tribal languages.

An App related to monitoring of Apke Adhikar, Apki Sarkar, Apke Dwar was launched wherein those having complaints will have to get register at the camps to be organised at each of the panchayats and can track redressal of grievance online.

Chief minister also launched Sahay (Sports Action towards Harnessing Aspiration of Youth)  and universal pension scheme.

The second phase of Phoolo Jhanno Ashirwad Yojana’s second phase started.

 Disaster Recovery on Cloud for Jharkhand State Data Center project started.

Padma  Shri awardee Mukund Nayak was honoured.
