Rohit’s unbeaten 65 helps Subarnarekha XI beat Hudco XI

Jamshedpur, Feb 15: Jubilee XI defeated Dalma XI by 23 runs in the first match of the Media Cup Cricket played at Gopal Maidan on Tuesday, February 15. Organised by Press Club of Jamshedpur, team Jubilee Xi scored 104 runs in 15 overs with the help of Ravi Shankar who scored35 runs. In reply Dalma Xi managed to score 81 runs loosing 8 wickets. Captain Manoj Singh scored 24 runs. Ravi Shankar of Jubilee Xi was declared the man of the match.        In the second match, Subarnarekha XI defeated HUDCO XI by 81 runs. Subarnarekha XI scored 151 runs in the stipulated 15 overs. This is the highest score ever in the Media Cup tournament. Rohit Kumar Singh played an unbeaten knock of 65 runs in 25 balls. Rohit hit 8 fours and 4 sixes in his unbeaten knock.

Team HUDCO XI managed to score to 70 runs for the loss of 9 wickets. Amjad, captain of Subarnarekha, took 3 wickets while Pashupati Mishra took two wickets. Dainik Bhaskar journalist Rohit Singh was adjudged man of the match for his brilliant innings.
