Rohit Tigga brace powers Tata Motors into JSA Premier Division final, to face Tata Steel

Jamshedpur, Oct 8: Tata Motors secured a commanding 4-1 victory over Jharkhand Sporting Club in the Premier Division semifinal at the JRD Tata Sports Complex on Wednesday, setting up an exciting title clash against Tata Steel.

Jharkhand Sporting Club took an early lead through Maheshwar Tudu in the 4th minute, but Tata Motors quickly bounced back. Rohit Tigga turned the game around with a brilliant brace, scoring in the 15th and 31st minutes to give his side a 2-1 lead at halftime.

In the second half, Sadhu Marandi extended Tata Motors’ advantage in the 75th minute, while Birsa Tudu sealed the emphatic win with a stoppage-time goal in the 90+7 minute. Both teams received one yellow card each, with Kishan Sardar for Tata Motors and Sakla Mardi for Jharkhand Sporting, but there were no send-offs.

With this victory, Tata Motors join Tata Steel, who reached the final after a sensational 4-3 comeback win over Jamshedpur FC Reserves, in the Premier Division final. The title clash promises an intense contest between two strong sides at the JRD Tata Sports Complex.
