Rights and responsibility camp organized

Noamundi: A one day �rights and responsibility� camp was organized on Sunday on the premises of Barajamda Referral Hospital under Revised National Tuberculosis Control Programme (RNTCP).

A total of 27 TB patients attended the awareness camp. Speaking at the camp, district co-coordinator of TB Bhisma Narayan Pradhan said, �TB is a contagious disease which spreads through air by a person suffering from TB. The patient should take proper treatment.

It is a long term process. One should not discontinue when one feels slightly better after undergoing 2 to 3 months of treatment. Many TB patients face poverty and unemployment.

Government through its welfare department provides Rs 2000 for nutrient diet besides to and fro fare to the patient to reach out to the hospital.

On the occasion, Dr. B K Singh, Dr Dharmendra, Sunil Dungdung, Suresh Chandra and many TB patients were present.
