Jamshedpur: A LAMPS center was inaugurated on Tuesday in Khariasai village under the Potka block to enable farmers to sell their produce. Potka MLA Sanjeev Sardar, after inaugurating the center stated that ensuring timely, transparent, and fair payment for farmers’ produce is the state government’s top priority.
Sardar added that the operation of the LAMPS centre will greatly facilitate the sale of produce to farmers in the region. “Farmers will no longer have to travel long distances and will be able to sell their paddy directly at the centre. This will eliminate the role of middlemen, ensuring farmers reap the full benefits of their hard work,” he added.
He stated that the Jharkhand government, under the leadership of Chief Minister Hemant Soren, is taking concrete steps in the interest of farmers. The expansion of paddy procurement centres is part of this policy to empower farmers economically and make farming profitable. Potka Chief Executive Officer Nikita Bala, Potka BDO Arun Kumar Munda, JMM leaders, local public representatives, and a large number of farmers were present at the inauguration.
