Jamshedpur, Jan 21: A review meeting of primary and middle level schools in Jamshedpur East assembly segment were held at People’s Academy High School in Baradwari following the directive of Jamshedpur East MLA Saryu Roy on Thursday.
Representatives including principal and president of 19 primary school and 10 middle schools were present at the meeting which was also attended by regional education officer, Kumari Nishu and others.
The meeting focussed on steps to be taken to increase interest of students towards state-owned schools, providing quality education, increase in enrolment of students and increasing infrastructure in schools.
It was decided that efforts would be initiated at the departmental level to improve infrastructure in schools within a year and it was also advised by the MLA representative S. P Singh that with help of community efforts should be made for beautification of schools so that students and parents get motivated to attend schools.
