Jamshedpur, July 16: A review meetig of TB Free Baharagora Project was held at Baharagora community health centre on Tuesday. It was chaired by the local legislator Kunal Sarangi. The operations manager of US AID Amar Shah was also present on this occasion.
Speaking at the meeting, the MLA said he would raise demand for setting up a health sub committee in Jharkhand Assembly. He said all TB patients should be linked to various welfare and development projects being run by the state and Central governments.
Shah said freeing TB patients from social discrimination was a major challenge. Youths, panchayat representatives and village heads should be engaged in the mission to end this discrimination, he said.
Other participants of the meeting were Diwakar Sharma, Rajeev Kumar, Krishnendu Ghosh, Dr Om Prakash Choudhury, Bandana Bera and Sushma Mahali.
