Restrain enthusiasm and pay obeisance to Mother: Champai Soren

Seraikela, Oct 13: Jharkhand Tribal Welfare and Transport Minister Champai Soren visited several Durga Puja mandaps in Saraikela offering Maha Ashtami prayers for the peace, prosperity and progress of the region and the state. He offrered prayers at Sri-Sri Sarvjanik Durga Puja Mandap at Indratandi and Sri-Sri Sarkari Durga Puja mandap where he was welcomed in a traditional manner.

Champai Soren observed that Goddess Durga was the embodiment of Shakti and noted that her mortal children were protected by the Divine Mother against evil. “The Mother visits our homes blessing us with protection from evil and filling our lives with peace and happiness. We also worship Goddess of wealth and good fortune, Siddhi Data Lord Ganesh, Lord Kartikay for valor and Devi Saraswati for learning. The Mother is omnipresent and She is the source of our confidence,” but had a word of caution when he observed, “Enthusiasm at festive times is but natural as the spirit of festivity is all pervading. But we would do better to restrain our enthusiasm and pay heed to all COVID protocols to prevent the reemergence of the dreaded coronavirus infection.”

 The Jharkhand Minister offered prayers at Sri-Sri Sarkari Durga Puja Mandap where he was welcomed in a traditional manner. Jharkhand Mukti Morcha Block President cum MLA Representative Sonaram Bodra, JMM Yuva Morcha District Vice President Sanand Acharya alias Tulu, Lipu Mahanty, Bhola Mahanty, Ranjit Acharya, Vishnu Dev Prasad Singh and others were present on the occasion.
