Jamshedpur : The students and trainee scientists of the Academy of Scientific & Innovative Research (AcSIR) in celebrated Joyrush Fest involving academy students, teachers at CSIR-National Metallurgical Laboratory (NML), Jamshedpur. The event started on February 14 concluded today.
The fest comprised of several events like Truth Hunt, Know your CSIR-NML, Techkriti (popular science writing), Aakriti (Quiz) and Interfacia (Cultural event).
AcSIR is a world class research academy functioning within 37 national laboratories, 6 units and 39 extension centers of Council of Scientific & Industrial Research (CSIR) that have state-of-the art infrastructural facilities.

Major research areas at AcSIR-NML includes Mineral Processing; Extractive Metallurgy; Corrosion and Surface Engineering; Material Engineering including advanced material and Environment & Energy. The integrated M.Tech.-P.hD, fast track PhD and regular PhD programs under AcSIR-NML has been launched in 2012.
