Ranchi, Aug. 24: Chief Minister Raghubar Das directed to replace 10 KVA transformers with 25 KVA ones.
He said that transformers should not be overloaded and loads should be distributed properly. For this purpose, 5000 transformers will be upgraded.
In the first phase, 500 transformers in 80 legislative assemblies will be replaced. On this occasion, MLAs and MPs of the respective areas will be invited.
The CM was reviewing energy department in his office chamber at Secretariat.
Mr. Das said that it should be run as a campaign. Advance planning should be done for unrestricted electricity supply.
He said that tenders should be completed in timeframe and contractors and companies should be paid on time every month. He asked the officers to meet them to know their problems and sort them out. The slacking companies/ contractors should be debarred and blacklisted.
Additional Chief Secretary R. K. Srivastava affirmed that transmission loss has reduced to 31% from 41 because of working in mission mode. It will be reduced to 15% by 2019.
The department is purchasing 1.71 lac new transformers. On 7th September in main program in the state capital, the CM will initiate campaign to replace the 500 transformers in the state.
Chief Secretary Raj Bala Verma, Development Commissioner Amit Khare, Principal Secretary to the CM Sanjay Kumar, Secretary to the CM Sunil Kumar Barnwal and other officers were present on this occasion.
