Jamshedpur: Following the death of a contactor employee, the company management agreed to pay Rs 10 lakhs in the negotiations held in connection with the compensation in the case of the death of a contract worker named Pramod Singh during work at BK Steel Company in Industrial Area Gamharia. Earlier, the family management of the deceased had demanded compensation of Rs 15 lakh from the company management to the dependent of the deceased.
During the talks held in a cordial atmosphere, the company’s managing director BK Bansal agreed to give one million rupees to the family before the post-mortem. Apart from this, the group insurance will be supported by the management in getting the amount from PF and ESI and other benefits, besides five lakhs under other benefits.
