BJP District working committee holds meeting, stresses on discipline and ground work
Jamshedpur: Senior BJP leaders of East Singhbhum made it clear to all party workers on Sunday that indiscipline would not be tolerated in the organization. Addressing the district working committee meeting of the party, they advised the workers to abstain from passing negative comments against party leaders on the social media.
In his address, Jamshedpur Mahanagar BJP president Dinesh Kumar said the party would initiate strict action against those members who resort to making social media and press statements to leak organizational matters and make controversial statements.
“The party workers should avoid giving Opposition parties an opportunity to criticize the BJP unnecessarily. All Mandal unit presidents will be held responsible for disciplining their respective area members. No one within the party would be spared for showing indiscipline,” said Kumar.
The BJP president directed all Mandal unit leaders to hold working committee meetings by 7th November. He asked them to prepare for the district level ‘Run For Unity’ programme going to be held on 31st October on the occasion of the birth anniversary of Sardar Ballabh Bhai Patel. All Mandal units were asked to organize Prabhat Pheri and foundation day programmes from 1st November till 15th November.
A mega district level blood donation camp will also be organized on 25th December on the birthday of former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee, Kumar said.
Today’s meeting started with singing of the National Anthem.
The chief guest of the inaugural session was Chief Minister Raghubar Das. Other dignitaries included MP of Jamshedpur Bidyut Baran Mahato, Potka MLA Menka Sardar, state BJP spokesperson Rajesh Shukla, state Minority Commission vice president Gurdev Singh Raja and Zila Parishad vice president Rajkumar Singh.
A welcome speech was given by district vice president Satyaprakash Singh. The meeting was conducted by the district general secretary Anil Modi. A vote of thanks was proposed by Chandrashekhar Gupta.
The BJP workers had lunch under an Amla tree on the premises of Sriram Mandir.
