Jamshedpur, Jan. 7: The annual sports day of D. B. M. S. Lilliput School was held at the D. B. M. S. English School ground on Saturday, January 7.
The Chief Guest for the occasion was Rotarian Jaishree Sinha (Entrepreneur). The March past was led by Krishna Mukhi of Std. VIII, Commander in Chief followed by the School Captains and Vice-Captains who led their respective houses. The Chief Guest unfurled the Sports Flag and declared the sports meet open.
Drill display was put up jointly by the students of Std. III & IV of B. H. Area (Main Branch), Farm Area and Sonari. B. H. Area School Students of Std. VI & VII also put up the drill display. A number of events were conducted in different categories on the Annual Sports Day.
Several sporting events were held during the day. Red House emerged as winner.
The Individual champions for the year 2016-2017 were- Krishna Mukhi was the winner in the Junior Level (Std. VII). In Senior Level (Std. X ) – Akash Sawiyanwas the winner. Best March Past House wasGreen House. Best Drill – DBMS Lilliput School – Farm Area School.
Altogether 15 track events and 4 Drill Display items were conducted today apart from the Pre-Sports Day events. All the Prize winners were given Medals and Certificates by the Chief Guest, Jaishree Sinha, Mr. & Mrs. Chandrashekhar (Jt. Chairpersons),Mrs. Rajani Shekhar President; Mrs. Kamala Subramanian, Vice-President ; Mrs. Srividya Narayan – Secretary; Mrs. Vasanthi Raghuram – Treasurer ; Mr. Raghavan Reddy (Incharge – Sonari Branch). Parents, Students, Dignitaries of various units of D. B. M. S. witnessed and enjoyed the programme. Welcome speech was given by the President of the School – Mrs. Rajani Shekhar.
At the end Mrs. Srividya Narayanan, Secretary of D.B. M. S. Lilliput School thanked the Chief Guest, all the Media group, Staff Members, Students, Officials, Sub-Staff and the Management Members of all units for their wholehearted co-operation in making the Annual Sports Day a grand success.
