Jamshedpur, December 18: The Annual Sports Day of D.B.M.S English School was celebrated with great enthusiasm at the JRD Tata Sports Complex, with Red House clinching the coveted Overall Championship trophy. The vibrant event showcased the spirit of sportsmanship, teamwork, and determination among students from all levels.

The Chief Guest, Vibhuti Dhand Adesara, Head of Sports Events and Training Centres at Tata Steel, inaugurated the event. The school’s managing committee members, Principal Rajani Shekhar, Vice Principal P.K. Sahu, and co-ordinators were present to cheer on the participants.

The festivities began with an impressive March Past led by commander-in-chief Tamanna Bose, accompanied by the school senate, House Captains, and Vice-Captains. The National Squad, comprising students who had excelled at national-level competitions, added pride to the parade.

Drill performances by various grades captured the audience’s imagination. Highlights included “Circle of Unity” by Std. V, “Building Bridges Through World Peace” by Std. VII, and “Blazing Fury,” an umbrella drill by Std. II. A vibrant display titled “Basketball Blitz” by Std. III and a Karate demonstration further elevated the excitement.

The sporting events saw enthusiastic participation, with students competing in races and other activities to earn points for their houses. The Green House was awarded the trophy for Best March Past, while individual accolades were distributed across categories.
Individual Championship at the Primary level was won by Ranesha Dutta of Std. IV D. Individual Championship at the Sub- Junior level was bagged by Sufiyan Khan of Std. VI C. The Individual Championship at the Junior level was won by Md. Ayaan Altamash of Std. VII D. Ayushi Kumari of Std. XI D bagged the Individual trophy at the Senior level.
