Ranchi: Chief Minister Hemant Soren today said that the state government will take measures to stop the trend of compensation determination in a wrong manner in cases of returning of land to Adivasis.
Soren said the Adivasis fighting legal battle to get their land back should be provided legal assistance including government pleader. A panel of advocates should be kept ready to look into the cases of people of Scheduled Tribe category. Government will pay the fees of advocates, he said.
Speaking at the review meeting of various departments including the land revenue and land reformation, urban development, science and technology, housing, tourism, food supply and public distribution and health, he said, �The government is trying to make sure that the common man gets the benefits of various government schemes. The timely completion of all development and welfare schemes will be ensured by the government.�
The CM, who held the meeting at his residential office, said the state government should have the maps of Jharkhand. He said a writ petition should be filed in the Jharkhand High Court if Bihar government refused to provide the revenue map of Jharkhand to the state government.
The CM said a plan to develop rural weekly markets or haats should be prepared. Various basic amenities like raised platforms, shed and drinking water should be made available to the markets. Coordination should be ensured with the market committee to implement the plan. He said the DCs should be given authority and full rights for the bandobasti of bus stands.
Soren said the proposed ambulance service on the emergency call number 108 will soon be started in the state. He further said that the Hazaribagh trauma centre will be inaugurated on 15th August. He said the maps of all villages and circles should be digitized and uploaded on the website.
The CM said the 4500 posts of ameen lying vacant in the state will be filled soon. He said the vacancies in the state Food Corporation will also be filled soon. He further said that a master plan for the entire state should be prepared instead of doing it merely for Greater Ranchi.
In other major instructions, the CM asked the state authorities concerned to start cleaning of Harmu river on a war footing and set up a sewage treatment plan. He said every division in the state should have a science city. He said five polytechnic college buildings will soon be constructed in Garhwa, Pakur, Chandil, Baharagora and Gola. These buildings will be run on Public-Private-Partnership (PPP) mode, he said.
Soren said vocational training with placement guarantee will be given to 30,000 youths of urban areas. He went on to add that the urban development department was going to start building 15 town halls from 15th August.
