Ration bags with printed Champai Soren’s photo and government schemes

Jamshedpur, June 9.Monthly rations to all categories of cardholders in the state will soon reach the homes of the poor with the policies and schemes of the state government including 1932 Khatian, Chief Minister Champai Soren’s photo, and the logo of the Jharkhand government printed on them. For this, more than 66 lakh government bags have been sent to all the districts of the state including East Singhbhum.

The bags prepared by the Public Relations Department of the State Government also display the tagline of Champai Soren’s government ‘Silsila Jaari Rahega’. 52,17,620 ration cardholders of PH category and 8,92,455 ration cardholders of the Antyodaya category made under the National Food Security Act in the state and 5,12,536 green ration cardholders made under the Jharkhand Government Food Security Scheme will receive ration in these bags from the current month. Specific orders have been given for ration distribution in these bags. 4.75 lakh bags have reached East Singhbhum district. Under the Sona-Sobran scheme in the state, the government is giving dhoti or lungi along with saree for Rs 20 twice a year to all categories of cardholders. Economically weak cardholders will get a free bag each with a white background on one side and a green background on the other, on which the photo of Chief Minister Champai Soren, the logo of the state government, and the policies of the government will be prominently printed.

Khatian of 1932 is on top, 27% reservation for OBC, 28% for ST, and 12% reservation for SC, CM Excellent School, Sarvajan Pension, Chief Minister Gram Gaadi, Women Empowerment, Mega Lift Irrigation, Kisan Pathshala, Rural Road Strengthening, Old age Pension, Marang Gomke, KCC Pardeshi Hostel, Birsa Harit Gram Agriculture Loan Waiver, Guruji Student Credit Card, Chief Minister Employment Generation, Savitri Phule Kishari Smriddhi, Sarna Adivasi Dharma code, Sona-Sobaran Dhoti-Sari, Abua Veer Abua Dishom, 100 units free electricity, cycle distribution, Aapki Yojana Aapki Sarkar Aapke Dwar, JPSC Appointments, JSSC Appointments, Pre and Post Matric Scholarship, Birsa Irrigation Well, Chief Minister Livestock Green Ration Card, Phulo Jhano Ashirwad Yojna are the government schemes that are printed on the bags.Free bags are being given so that cardholders do not bring their own bags from home.

According to sources, the bags were prepared before the Lok Sabha elections, but could not be distributed due to the implementation of the Model Code of Conduct. Since it has now expired with the end of the Lok Sabha election process on Thursday, the bags have been delivered to the district headquarters by truck. It will be sent to the blocks and other government bodies and given free to the cardholders through the PDS dealers.

Experts say that the state government wants to promote its policies and schemes through this bag. It is known that the Sona-Sobran Dhoti-Sari scheme was first started in the state in 2014 by the then Chief Minister Hemant Soren, but after a year in 2015, the Raghuvar Das-led NDA government closed this scheme. Again in 2020, the Hemant Soren government implemented this scheme.
