Raphsody rocks school students, Sacred Heart Convent crowned winner

Jamshedpur : Enthusiasm ruled the day at the Tata auditorium in XLRI with 1000 odd students from 15 schools of Jamshedpur getting together for one of the grand inter school competitions Raphsody .

Organised by the Loyola School�s chapter of Jamshedpur Youth Organisation For Tomorrow�s India (Jyoti), the mega event has drawn thousand of students from the last many years. Rhapsody, one of the most awaited inter-school event here, once again proved to the biggest crowd-puller for school students.

Sacred Heart Convent walked away with the overall champions trophy, while host Loyola School came a close second followed by Narberham Hansraj English School in the third position.

Organised by the Loyola School�s chapter of Jamshedpur Youth Organisation For Tomorrow�s India (Jyoti), the mega event gave an opportunity to the students to display talent.

Students of participating schools, all members of Jyoti � Loyola English and Hindi, DBMS English, Andhra Association, JPS, MNPS, Dayanand Public School, ADL Sunshine, Kerala Samajam Public School, Kerela Public School, Beldih Church, Sacred Heart Convent and St Mary�s English enjoyed the show.

�The aim of Rhapsody is to unite students of various schools and foster friendship among them,� Father Sebestian, principal of Loyola School said.

The Jyoti unit of every school in the city undertakes some social work. Be it planting saplings, visit to the orphanage or the old age home and provide them whatever the beneficiaries are in need of. Rhapsody is one of the event which involves students from various schools on a single platform to share and showcase their talent beyond academics.

“We have been preparing for Rhapsody for the last couple of months to make it successful. It is one of the oldest inter school competition in the city and we try for the best,” said an official of the Jyoti of Loyola School.

The off stage events were cooking, puppet making, comic stips with social messages and best out of waste where students tried to make beautiful decorative pieces with junk materials like CDs, polythene bags and much more.
