Jamshedpur, March 6: Rangotsav or, Holi – the festival of colours, was organized at Srinath University in Adityapur by the School of Engineering in association with the School of Commerce and Management. The assistant professors and students of Srinath University added the colourful sparkle to the event.
The Holi Milan ceremony was jointly inaugurated by Rachna Rashmi, Principal Student Welfare (DSW) of Srinath University, Sanjay Singh, Principal of Srinath Public School and Academic Director Dilip Kumar Mahato by spraying the colours of Holi among the students’ fraternity present on the occasion.
Srinath University Chancellor Sukhdev Mahato said, “The colours of Holi signify love and peace as Holi too is a great leveler as it wipes out animosity and ushers in binding trust and love between man and man.”
The Dean (Students’ Welfare), Srinath University, Rachna Rashmi stated, “You have to slay Hiranyakashyap within you and realize the Lord is omnipresent and resides within and around you. Only then can you come face-to-face with the ethereal sensation of peace, harmony and goodwill among mankind.”
Sanjay Singh and Dilip Kumar Mahto observed that Holi should be celebrated in the spirit of the festival in conditions of peace and bonhomie. Music and dance performances grabbed attention of all present with the DJ adding further air of excitement to the proceedings. Sumptuous lunch was laid out for all participants. Anita Mahto, Founder and Trustee Sandhya Mahto, students and assistant professors of all departments were present during the Holi Milan function.
