Jamshedpur, August 2: Cultural organisation Sanskriti celebrated the vibrant spirit of Sawan with a colourful event titled “Rangilo Sawan”, held at Dayal International, Sakchi. The celebration showcased rich Indian traditions through music, dance, and festive competitions.
The event was graced by dignitaries including Dinesh Kumar, Kalyani Saran, Kavita Parmar, and Manju Singh as guests. Priyanka Mandal was present as the special judge.
Highlighting the festive spirit, competitions such as saree draping and Rakhi platter decoration saw enthusiastic participation from women. Special prizes were also awarded for categories like best hairstyle and best smile. Winners included Asha Singh (Best Hairstyle), Minu (Best Smile), Rekha (Saree Draping), Priyanka (Rakhi Platter Decoration), and Neela Sengupta, who was crowned Sawan Beauty Queen.
Entertainment added sparkle to the event with a soulful song performance by Alka and captivating dances by Mahi Jaiswal and Meenu. Participants also enjoyed rounds of Tambola, adding fun and interaction to the celebration.
The successful event was organised with team effort by Sunita, Ekta, Madhavi, Ranjana, Monika, Anita, and Lily. Sanskriti Sanstha expressed heartfelt thanks to all guests, participants, and supporters.
