Ranchi: The district administration of the state Capital convened a meeting to make preparations for ensuring peace and communal harmony during Durga Puja and Bakrid.
The deputy commissioner of Ranchi, Vinay Kumar Choubey, held a meeting with the peace committees at his office on Saturday. He said the district administration will keeping a close eye on public places to keep peace round the clock. He said the police will be tightening noose around criminals and taking stringent action against them.
Police will launch a drive against tipplers and book them for causing ruckus at public places. Various administration officials were present during the meeting.
