Ranchi Court extends relief for Jairam Mahto till June 10

Ranchi, June 3: Ranchi court has given a big relief to independent candidate from Giridih, Jairam Mahto.

The court has stayed coercive action against Jairam Mahto till June 10.

During the hearing in the court, Jairam Mahto’s advocate sought time for the debate, which the court accepted and extended the order against coercive action against Jairam till June 10. Now the court will hear this case on June 10.

Jairam Mahto has got this immediate relief in a case of the year 2022. A warrant was issued against him in case number 48 registered in the year 2022 at Nagdi police station in Ranchi. Ranchi police tried to arrest the leader of JBKSS, popularly known as Tiger Jairam among his supporters, in Bokaro and Giridih but could not succeed.

Jairam Mahto is contesting from Giridih Lok Sabha seat. When Jairam reached Bokaro to file his nomination papers, a police team from Ranchi reached there to arrest him. Jairam told them that he has to address a public meeting, let him go for that. After the public meeting, if they want, they can arrest him (Jairam). If an attempt is made to arrest him here and JBKSS supporters become violent, then the police will be responsible for the situation that follows.
