Rakhi Mela commences at Tulsi Bhawan in Jamshedpur

Jamshedpur, July 22: The Marwari Mahila Manch (MMM) Jamshedpur branch has organized a three-day Rakhi Mela (exhibition cum sale) at Tulsi Bhawan in Bistupur. The event, which began on Monday, will continue till Wednesday, July 24, and will be open daily between11 AM and 9 PM.

The fair was officially inaugurated on Monday by senior members of the organization, including Lata Agarwal, Manju Khandelwal, Prabha Padia, and Bina Khirwal. The event attracted a large crowd on its first day, with 50 stalls offering a variety of products.

On Tuesday, Jamshedpur Block BDO Sudha Verma will visit the fair as a guest at 5 PM. Rani Agarwal, the organization’s President, and Meena Agarwal, the Secretary, informed that the fair was an eagerly awaited annual event. The fair featured a rich collection of Rakhi, gift items, bed sheets, Laddu Gopal’s dress, bandhanwar, sarees, kurtis, and home decor items under one roof. Additionally, handmade household items such as pickles, papad, mangodi, and khajla were available at reasonable prices.

This annual fair is being organized since 35 years to empower women. The event was hosted by Saraswati Agarwal, with a welcome address by President Rani Agarwal and a vote of thanks by Kanchan Khirwal. The information was provided by Sushila Khirwal.
