In yet another Junior Boys qualifier at the same venue, UHS Khuradih defeated Samudayik Uchch Vidyalay (SUV) 4-2 in a comparatively well-fought match.

Interestingly, Dashrath Goyai had scored in the 6th minute to put SUV in the lead first. But Krishna Mardi score the equaliser in the 14th minute and the score line remained 1-1 at the breather as both sides attacked and counterattacked well.

Lal Singh – who later was declared player of the match – scored twice in the 37th and 45th minute to take UHS Kuradih to a seemingly unassailable lead of 3-1. But Sunny Topno booted in SUV’s second in the 57th minute to raise their hopes.

Karan Sardar eventually scored the fourth goal for UHS Khuradih in the dying moments (59th minute) to conclusively seal the fate of the match 4-2 in his team’s favour.

The third match at the same venue was decided through a penalty shootout after it ended in a goalless draw at regulation time.
