Jamshedpur : A rainstorm hit Jamshedpur on Tuesday afternoon at around 4 pm which uprooted several trees in the city and adjoining areas.
The city was enveloped by the dark clouds resembling night like situation in day time. Commuters had to switch on the headlight of vehicles as it became difficult to view.
Rain accompanied by strong winds blew away several roofs of houses while many cars and motorbikes were damaged by the uprooted trees.
It led to traffic jams in several areas of the city while water logged roads added to woes.
