Jamshedpur : Railway officials apprised the DC that funds of Rs5, 55,000 for provision of 24, 27 and 09 superior type RCC benches at Ranchi, Hatia and Muri stations under the MPLAD scheme.
The DC assured that the administration will extend all cooperation in this regard.
Regarding the doubling project of Birsa Chowk – Over Bridge road, railway officials informed the DC that South Eastern Railway was all prepared to execute the project as per the requests made by the State Government.
It was now district administration’s responsibility to arrange recovery of necessary railway land for this purpose with proper evacuation of unauthorized occupants.
During the meeting, railway officials and district collector also agreed to work closely on developmental projects in the interest of railusers and people of Jharkhand.
Closure of unmanned level crossings through safer and superior option of limited height subways, smooth operation of pre-paid Taxi and auto booths at Ranchi and Hatia Stations, activation of Jharkhand State
Tourist Information Bureau were few other issues which were identified for facilitation through closer
cooperation.
