Jamshedpur, June 26: Three hundred vacant quarters in various colonies of Tatanagar will be allotted to railway workers from Badampahar route. This order was issued by the Chakradharpur Division Personnel Department.
Following the Badampahar route workers, vacant quarters in Tatanagar will also be allocated to railway workers from Adityapur, Gamharia, and Asanbani. This initiative was advocated by Men’s Congress Convener Shashi Mishra, who highlighted the need for better residential facilities for branch line railway workers in Chakradharpur Division.
The process of allotting the three hundred vacant quarters in Tatanagar has commenced thereby allowing branch line railway workers to shift with their families soon. Many quarters in Tatanagar’s colonies have remained vacant for months, as second and third class railway workers, who receive House Rent Allowance (HRA), often prefer not to occupy them. This new allocation aims to alleviate the difficulties faced by branch line workers in housing their families.
